Deets: Vinted, Europe’s leading online platform for buying and selling secondhand clothing and will make its U.S. debut with a New York City activation supported by new research in partnership with GWI.

On Wednesday, Jan 21, Vinted is officially touching down in New York for the first time. To mark the moment, Vinted is rolling a clothing rail through the streets of NYC — popping up in iconic neighbourhoods and inviting people to stop, browse, react, style, comment, film, and talk.

It’s a very New York way of asking a very New York question:

Why are we holding onto so much — when space is tight and value is sitting unworn?

Loved by millions in Europe, this is Vinted’s first physical moment in US, and it’s backed by new research showing just how much value is hiding in wardrobes here.

The rail is a physical way to spark the conversation about lack of space, about cost of living, about the untapped value hanging in our closets, and about what it means to finally release it.

In a city where closets are tiny and rent is not, this hits.
