Deets: On Friday, October 9 from 2:30–4PM, José Andrés will team up with Marvel writer Steve Orlando for a special book signing at Mercado Little Spain in Hudson Yards, celebrating the upcoming release of Marvel’s Meals to Astonish: Avengers #1.

For the occasion, 50 copies of Meals to Astonish: Avengers #1 will be available for purchase ahead of its official release, alongside a limited-edition cover of Spider-Man: Meals to Astonish #1, with José and Steve on-site to sign copies. We’d also love to invite you to stop by to receive a signed copy of the comic and meet José if that would be of interest! 

The Marvel takeover will extend beyond the signing, with limited-edition Marvel-inspired treats available at Mercado Little Spain’s Que Sweet Kiosk from October 6–11, including:

• Spider-Man Ice Cream: Strawberry and blueberry sorbets, mini meringues and red raspberry crunch

• Spider-Man Donut: Strawberry jam filling, red glaze and a white spiderweb design

• Hulk Ice Cream: Pistachio and fig ice creams with cocoa crumble

• Hulk Donut: Pistachio pastry cream, green and purple glaze and cocoa crumble

• Wolverine Ice Cream: Vanilla and chocolate ice creams with cocoa crumble

• Wolverine Donut: Xuxo cream and Nutella filling with yellow glaze, cocoa toffee and cocoa crumble

Hint for the Average Socialite: The signing is open to the public, making it a fun stop for Marvel fans, food lovers and anyone looking to get into the Comic Con spirit around NYC.
