Deets: On Monday, February 9 – the day after one of the biggest sporting events of the year – Discover Puerto Rico is partnering with Café Colmado in NYC for an exclusive pop-up experience that transforms the notoriously sluggish "Super Sick Monday" into a celebration of Puerto Rican coffee culture and hospitality.
Following Sunday's highly anticipated game and vibrant halftime performance, La Resaca Boricua (translation: "The Puerto Rican Hangover") will offer complimentary authentic Puerto Rican coffee and mallorcas to New Yorkers seeking the ultimate pick-me-up for their Monday.
The activation aims to create an intimate, culturally immersive experience at Café Colmado – a beloved community hub for Puerto Ricans in New York, co-owned by Chef Manolo López.
This activation is part of Discover Puerto Rico's ongoing commitment to showcasing the Island's rich traditions and extending Puerto Rican culture beyond major cultural moments like the Big Game, reinforcing the sense of community and care at the heart of the Island's identity.
Hint for the Average Socialite: Limited quantities are available. Complimentary coffee and mallorcas will be provided to the first 200 guests who RSVP in advance for each session. On-site walk-ins will not be accommodated.
