Deets: Brookfield Place and Battery Park City Authority (BPCA) have partnered up to present Checkmate at BFPL, a two-week inclusive event in the Winter Garden offering the opportunity to play, watch and learn the game of chess for all! 

Checkmate at BFPL arrives amid a growing cultural shift toward hands-on activities and analog experiences that encourage people to unplug and spend time together offline. With an increasing sense of digital fatigue across all generations, the program taps into a broader appetite for creative, skill-based activities that are both social and accessible. Set indoors at the Winter Garden, Checkmate at BFPL also offers a weather-proof destination for friends, families and colleagues to gather, linger and connect– complete with a top selection of dining and retail experiences.
