Lottery opens May 25 at 10AM, closes May 30 at 5PM
Deets: Mayor Mamdani just announced a partnership to make 1,000 FIFA World Cup tickets available to NYC residents for just $50 each through a public lottery system!
The tickets will be split across seven matches at MetLife Stadium, including five group-stage matches, a Round of 32 game, and a Round of 16 matchup. Winners will also receive free round-trip bus transportation.
The lottery opens May 25 at 10AM and closes May 30 at 5PM, with roughly 50,000 applications expected per day.
Officials say more than 1 million visitors are expected to come to the NY/NJ area for the World Cup, with the tournament projected to generate more than $3 billion in economic impact for the region.
