Deets: As soccer takes center stage this summer, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is bringing its Summer of Soccer road trip to its final destination in New York City on July 15 at the Queens Classic. The match is poised to be a milestone for women’s sports, with NWSL at the center, as it marks the first-ever women’s sporting event at Citi Field and is on track to set a new attendance record for a women’s sporting event in NYC. Just outside of Citi Field, fans can get in on the action with a full day line-up of activities, including:
Footy Fest - Footy Fest kicks off at 2:30 PM outside Citi Field, celebrating women's soccer and sport ahead of The Queens Classic
3PM: Semi-final World Cup Watch Party - Hosted by Sam Mewis, World Cup champion and Editor-in-Chief of The Women's Game. The FIFA World Cup 2026™ Semifinal Watch Party begins at 3 p.m., presented by Dove in partnership with U.S. Soccer and the FIFA World Cup 2026™ New York New Jersey Host Committee
4PM: Summer of Soccer Bus tour - Content Creators will be hosting live music and interactive fan experiences for all ages throughout the afternoon and evening. Creators on-site include Katlyn Stevens, Tyra Mills, Yenela Cartelli, Megan O’Keefee, Vivi de Castro, Luppe Garcia and Janella Hernandez
6PM: Welcome to the Party, featuring Abby Wambach and Julie Foudy - Presented by Nature’s Garden, these UWSNT legends will host a live recording of Welcome to the Party
Media scrum with NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman: At halftime press are invited to a scrum with NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman in the press box, who will discuss the historic match.
