Deets: Beginning July 22, the 34th Street Partnership is presenting Impulse —a free interactive installation in Herald Square featuring eight giant seesaws that transform into a colorful light and sound show as people ride them.
Created by Montreal-based designers Lateral Office and CS Design, and coordinated by Quartier des Spectacles Partnership International, the installation puts a playful spin on a childhood favorite, encouraging New Yorkers of all ages to stop, play, and interact with one another in the heart of Herald Square.
Hint for the Average Socialite: The installation will be open to the public starting Wednesday, July 22, and will be on display daily from 9AM to 9PM through August 21. Rides on the seesaws are free on a first-come, first-served basis. To learn more, visit 34thstreet.org.
