September 8 - September 11 / Multiple volunteer shifts are available throughout the four-day event

Deets: This year marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and in observance of this milestone, we are honored to once again partner with 9/11 Day to organize the largest day of service ever staged in America.

Join New York Cares for a powerful four-day event aboard The Intrepid to turn a day of remembrance into action.

Together with organizations from across the city, we’ll help pack over 3,000,000 meals for New Yorkers facing food insecurity. More than 1,000 New York Cares volunteers will roll up their sleeves to make it happen.

This is more than a volunteer event—it’s a tribute to unity, resilience, and compassion.
