Deets: The world-famous museum is taking the fun outside with its Late Shift: Block pARTy, a free end-of-summer street festival right on its front stoop.
Inspired by Guggenheim Pop: 1960 to Now, 88th street will be transformed into your Pop playground. Challenge friends to a chess match, Connect 4, Jenga, art trivia, or even badminton à la Claes Oldenberg; piece together Frank Lloyd Wright designs at our communal puzzle tables; or get creative with drop-in art making. Create a sun print inspired by Lucia Hierro’s De todo un poco, grab drawing supplies from the Art Cart, and strike a pose in our classic photo booth featuring props inspired by Guggenheim Pop: 1960 to Now.
Stop by the Wright Restaurant for refreshing summer mocktails and block party favorites like popcorn, jumbo pretzels, and hot dogs. To beat the heat, head down to the Peter B Lewis Theater to catch a screening of the fan-favorite film Barbie!
Neighbors, members, passersby, and art lovers of all ages––this block pARTy is for you.
Hint for the Average Socialite: RSVP now!
