Deets: Eight celebrity and internet-famous chefs including Rocco DiSpirito, Vikas Khanna, John DeLucie, José Garces, Einat Admony, Miriam Milord and Antony Nassif are trading their usual kitchens for bodega counters across Manhattan later this month, dishing out free gourmet meals to anyone who walks in. The one-day event, dubbed The Most Legendary Lunch Break, will run from 11:30AM to 2:30PM on September 17 at five neighborhood shops, with hot samples served on-site and full meals packaged cold to go. Each participating chef selected two CookUnity dishes for the giveaway.

What to expect:

• Restaurant-Quality Meals To-Go: Choose from full, cold-packaged CookUnity meals designed for quick transport, or grab hot bites served straight from behind the counter (while supplies last)

• Self-Serve Microwaves: Heat up your meal immediately on-site if you want to enjoy your gourmet lunch right there in the neighborhood

• Bodega Scratch-Off Lottery: Every guest receives a classic bodega-style scratch-off ticket for a chance to win free CookUnity meals for an entire year, plus special dining experiences at participating chefs’ restaurants
