Deets: Celebrate Black History Month with an evening dedicated to creating powerful and impactful connections with We Met IRL. Find your people, learn about Black women artists through an interactive museum-wide bingo game, and honor culture through a hands-on mixed-media portraiture artmaking experience inspired by the exhibition Tawny Chatmon: Sanctuaries of Truth, Dissolution of Lies. We Met IRL founder Maxine Simone Williams will be in conversation with artist Tawny Chatmon to discuss the power of preserving community and culture through art. Additionally, there will be speed-friending opportunities as DJ Precious Layne creates the perfect backdrop for connection and celebration in the Great Hall.
