Deets: This Is About Humanity is a community of allies and advocates dedicated to raising awareness about separated and reunified families and children at the US-Mexico border. Founded in 2018 by Elsa Marie Collins, Yolanda Selene Walther-Meade, and Zoe Winkler Reinis, This Is About Humanity has been able to support families with essentials for living, access to legal services, mental wellness checkups, and other services while educating communities through proximate trips to the border and community programming. Through their programs and ongoing volunteer events, This Is About Humanity has proven to not only be about aid – but also about dignity, safety, and ensuring families are seen, supported, and never alone.
The 7th Annual Soiree will include a culinary showcase led by Michelin Winning Lead Chef, Javier Plascencia, and Michelin Award Winning Sommelier, Lauren Plascencia, and will support This Is About Humanity’s ongoing programming. This year’s event will also honor The Rosenthal Family for their generous support of This Is About Humanity’s efforts over the years.
